Lord, have mercy! For we cannot resist the temptation of The Obsessed's doom metal! You will not forsake us, as we tell You that this is the early band of Greg Rogers (Goatsnake), Scott Reeder (Kyuss) and Wino (Saint Vitus and many, many more). Their syrupy sound is never really slow since the rhythm section keeps the tempo high and the addiction growing. Wino's signature singing style is as seductive and hypnotic as those of the Sirens. The Obessed create a loner's sound, for all souls lost in despair and anger. Go watch them, or you'll go to heaven where you have to spend eternity singing ABBA and christmas carols.
