Unlike most post-rock bands that have a dense sound with fuzz and layers of melodies, Toe composes dynamic and airy songs, most often without vocals. The jazzy and upbeat drumming they are known for has made some space for acoustic guitars, a Rhodes piano and a vibraphone.
