THE PICTUREBOOKS(ger)
This German duo has released a couple of independent albums in Europe, but only recently made inroads in the US when they toured with Eagles of Death Metal, which is an appropriate matchup. Fynn Claus Grabke and Philipp Mirtschink play raw blues infused garage rock in the vein of Death From Above 1979 and The Black Keys. That being said, they defy the copycat label by pushing the limits of sound that two men can make with a simply guitar and drum setup.
