Seahaven exude an effortless and expert musical control, toeing the line between post-punk, emo and post-hardcore styles, moods and atmospheres. The songs carry an ethereal, organic depth and expertise of the space surrounding the music, resulting in a moving dynamism. From airy, minimalist textures to catchy, upbeat pop-rock sections to fully overblown anthems, the band stitch cohesive songs together behind the weaving delivery of vocalist Kyle Soto. The subtle combination of emo, indie and post-punk is brought to life by the uplifting natural production and orchestral instrumentation. Warm, beach-y reverb blankets equally contemplative and carefree sounding pop that ebbs and flows with rising strings and def percussion, making for Seahaven’s most interesting and engaging songs yet.
